It was really nice to meet up with Kirsty and Alex for their wedding in Somerset. We got together in the September of 2015 for a pre-wedding shoot to help Alex get used to being in front of the camera. You can see the shoot by following the link: Pre-wedding shoot Somerset. Come the wedding all nerves had gone.
As a wedding photographer I get to travel around to some lovely venues and Woodlands Castle at Taunton is no exception. We had a day of glorious summer weather, although a little hot at times, but I’m not complaining!
The day started off with Kirsty, who was getting ready with her bridesmaids, in the farm house close to their home. There was lots of nervous excitement as they all got ready. It was soon time to leave and head over to the Church at Lydeard St Lawrence. Kirsty looked stunning as she descended the stairs to her awaiting bridesmaids & parents.
Alex was full of nervous excitement as he waited for Kirsty to come down the aisle. Once the ceremony was over it was time to head over to Woodlands Castle. The couple left in a vintage Austin followed by the bridesmaids in another. The couple enjoyed Pimms on the lawn with their guests before we did a few couple shots. The wedding breakfast took place in the large beautifully decorated garden pavilion. The toasts went really well with lots of laughter to go round.
It was soon time for the cutting of the cake and the first dance. It was a lovely day and a pleasure to capture. Thank you for feeding me and making me feel so welcome, it was lovely to meet your family and friends. I look forward to talking to you again soon.
Kind regards Anthony
