Winslade Manor Wedding – Rachel & James
Rachel & James were originally going to get married in 2020 but due to the pandemic had to postpone to July 2021. I was able to step in and capture their day as their original choice was no longer available. The wedding took place very close to their home on the fringes of Exeter. Conveniently the church was right next door to the venue, Winslade Manor.
I feel lucky to capture so many fantastic weddings with some fun and exciting people. This Exeter crowd were off the wall. They were so much fun. The wedding venue were also very accommodating. I think this was their first organised wedding. They did such a great job in making the day work. The marquee looked great!
Sadly the weather was rainy but this did not stop the fun. When it did rain the guests just dived into cover, but also with true Englishness just grinned and bared it. The weather certainly didn’t put people off from enjoying their food while it rained. Who cares if you get a little wet while eating your pig roast! There was plenty of dry spells for those not so keen on getting wet.
As predicted the crowd really rose to occasion when it came to dancing. After the first-dance was over the guests just gravitated to the dancefloor and they pretty much didn’t stop all night. I love to get in amongst it, although I can sometimes get trampled, kneed and elbowed.
A great day and a pleasure to capture. Please checkout Winslade Manor as the food is amazing. I’ve actually purchased some vouchers to dine out for my wife’s birthday! How lucky am I!
