Whitemoor Farm Wedding – Katherine & Nick
Loved being wedding photographer for this wedding at Whitemoor Farm in North Devon. These outdoor/barn style weddings are some of my favourite to capture and it was no different with Katherine & Nick’s. What was all the more impressive was the styling. The couple had done this themselves and it reflected them both perfectly. Whitemoor Farm was also the perfect choice with plenty of room outside and a large barn for the wedding breakfast. The venue is also only 20 minutes from my home which again is ideal.

The wedding took place on the couple’s birthday, they shared the same birthday! How nice is that! In July, before the kids broke up from school, and before the weather changed. The weather started overcast with some glimpses of the sun in the afternoon, perfect for an outdoor wedding. The ceremony started with flower girls walking down the aisle with Katherine’s daughter wearing roller-boots, followed by the bridesmaids and Katherine with her father. The ceremony was conducted by Katherine’s friend and was beautiful and personal. There was a lot of emotion throughout, especially when Nick made some moving promises to their children. After the ceremony the couple and their kids released nurtured native butterflies before walking down the aisle under a shower of confetti.
It was a very chilled out wedding and it was so nice to see so many children having fun with the games and bubbles. The couple welcomed their guests as they made their way into the barn for drinks and canapes. The couple cut the cake and sat for the wedding breakfast with a fine selection of food on offer. It looked lovely. Before the wedding breakfast took place Nick had arranged for a couple of ducks to be delivered as a wedding present for his new wife. The ducks were to be added to their expanding collection of farm animals. The couple had moved down to North Devon from the midlands a couple of years ago to start a new life together. From all accounts it seems they are living the good-life. During the speeches Katherine was presented with the ducks by Nick. The speeches were full of laughter and tears. There were not that many dry eyes in the barn.
The day seemed to go very quickly. Before long the afternoon was turning into evening and the couple were on the dance floor for their first dance. It was great to see the family & friends join them for a boogie. I have noticed this year the Floss Dance appearing as a dance floor regular! The kids are really good at it but the guys, not so sure. Well I had a great time photographing this beautiful North Devon wedding and look forward to a return. Please turn the sound on and watch the slideshow or scroll down and view a selection of images. You could even do both. Enjoy the images.
I hope you enjoyed the rest of your night. Talk soon.
Cheers
Anthony
