Anran in Devon – Emily & Justin
It’s always a pleasure to return and capture a wedding at the beautiful Anran in Devon. Anran is definitely a party venue and always attracts a fun crowd. This is why I love it so much. The party is always awesome!
The day was an absolute scorcher! Which was perfect but also a little sweaty! Thankfully I had my favourite wedding flipflops on hand to cool me down. The couple along with their family & friends were getting ready in the very luxurious farm house. While Justin received a thrashing playing Fifa, by his best man, Emily relaxed with a few drinks in the top of the house while getting ready.
Anran Wedding
As Emily & Justin had already done the legal side of things they opted for a blessing down by the lake which was conducted by a friend. It was really quick and straight to the point, which was fun. For the confetti shot we headed to the orchard and created a tunnel of people all holding very colourful petals. This is perhaps the longest confetti run I have captured to date. It was great fun and never ending, which gave me plenty of opportunities to capture some great pictures. There was also a videographer by my side and it was a miracle we didn’t trip over each other and end up in a heap on the ground.
The first couple of speeches took place in the court-yard before everyone headed to the Glasshouse for the wedding breakfast. The Glasshouse is a really impressive space and although it was probably one of the hottest days of the year it wasn’t too bad within the space. All the guests were treated to a complimentary jelly shot, from the couple, which they had to administer from a syringe. Some hilarious moments.
Before the food and speeches Emily’s opera singing sister gave a spine tingling performance. This is not something you would usually experience in the office. This is why I love my job. Each and every wedding is so different. As you can imagine after the syringed shots had been emptied and the food consumed the dancing began. This was the part of the day I had been waiting for. The crowd were primed and ready to go. With camera’s ready, flashes in place I sprang into action as soon as the first shape was thrown. There were many shapes thrown and many photos taken, batteries used and replaced. It was a wild night to say the least! This was not a crowd to be tempered! As the night went on the crowd young and old reached out and sang out. It was epic!
Thank you, you lovely lot. You made my day very enjoyable.
Enjoy the images!
