The Chalet – Wedding in Saunton,North Devon – Nicola & Ben

The Chalet in North Devon is in fantastic location. The wedding venue overlooks the amazing Saunton Sands. An amazing view and a perfect backdrop for a wedding.

Nicola & Ben were to be married in 2020 but due to the pandemic had to move to 2021. It was a bit of a mare as they were going to get married in June, and due to the restrictions not being lifted in time, the wedding was moved to October.

If was great to finally meet up with the couple for their long awaited wedding. The weather was a bit pants to say the least, it was blowing a hoolie! Saying that it did calm down by the time the ceremony took place and although the day remained a bit grey, we still managed to walk down to Saunton Sands a little later.

The Chalet Wedding

The Chalet is an amazing space, with Nicola taking over the top floor to get ready with her bridesmaids and mums. The ceremony was lovely and took place at the side of the venue and was conducted by celebrant Kevin Murphy

One thing that was ever present on the day was the amazing view and location. With Saunton Sands as a backdrop it almost stopped me in my track every time the camera pointed in the sea direction. With the beach in the background the wedding breakfast took place in a marquee with the most amazing decoration and food. Nom, Nom, Nom it looked lovely! The speeches were great, there was plenty of laughs, a few tears and lots of embarrassment! I always love to capture this part of the day as there is so much emotion flying about. The people always make the wedding special, and they were a bunch of lovely fun people. A real pleasure to capture.

The dancing was great! Everyone was just involved from the start. A pleasure to capture a fun day full of laughs. Thanks for making me feel so welcome.
