Getting married at Sandy Cove
As well as visiting stunning venues I get to meet some lovely people. It was really nice to meet up with Chris & Laura for their wedding. It was a weekend of very rough and changeable weather. It was a weekend where events had been cancelled as the worst was expected! There were a few showers on the morning of the wedding and there was a time when we thought the ceremony was going to be held indoors. It was an unknown but there was time to decide. After meeting up with Chris and his mates getting ready in the hotel I headed a few miles out to meet up with Laura at her parents home on Exmoor. It was a little crazy in the house but that’s all part of the excitement. After a few getting ready shots it was a dash back to the venue. As I approached I could see a blue band of sky on the coast and knew it was going to be okay. The couple were so lucky with the weather given the forecast.
The wedding ceremony was really beautiful and the Devon weather was perfect. No rain just sunshine.
After the ceremony, a few group-shots and couple portraits we headed into the venue for the wedding breakfast. The speeches went down really well with plenty of laughter and a bit of embarrassment. All good fun! We had a little rain in the afternoon and was treated to the most spectacular rainbow, which was a bonus!
After the first-dance was over the guests did not hold back and boogied on down. It was a fantastic day and it was a pleasure to capture. I look forward to returning to Sandy Cove again soon.
Thanks for making me feel so welcome.
