Rustic Barn Wedding in Devon – Sammii & Harry

What a fantastic wedding Sammii & Harry’s was, at the brides family farm in Rackenford in rural Mid-Devon. The sun was shining and it was going to be a great day. The day started off with Sammii along with her bridesmaids getting ready on the farm. Lots of excitement, lots of nervousness and a few bees buzzing about.

Harry was getting ready in the village and I popped across to meet him with the groomsmen at the church for a few shots of milling about and trying to put on their button-holes. On the whole they were pretty successful but some help was needed. Not by me I hasten to add!

Right back to the bridal party! What I loved about this wedding was that it was all within walking distance. Loved that they all walked to church. Such a special moment to capture and so nice to see. The church ceremony was really nice, although the vicar was restrictive! What is it with these vicars?

Barn Devon Wedding

After the ceremony the couple did a quick lap of the church while their guests exited and got ready for the confetti! I always love this moment of any wedding. It’s so interactive and a great fun moment. Smiles and laughter all-round.

So after much confetti chewing the couple led the party back-up the road to the farm; but not before stopping, alarming a few tourists, to have a go on the aerial slide. A great fun moment. With the walk continued we all headed back to the farm with the guests and many wasps enjoying cream teas, the Devon way of course,

For the wedding breakfast the cow barn had been cleared of all the S**T, not a whiff, and the barn had been wonderfully decorated. The speeches were great fun and much hilarity ensued. The day soon turned to evening and the dancing began. I was not disappointed! As the band sang out the wedding party really got going. There were some great moves on that dance floor. A pleasure to capture.

I have it on good authority that the the chairs and tables have now been moo-ved and the cow barn is once again covered in S**TE!
