Fantastic to be a Cornwall wedding photographer for Katherine & Jim’s cornish wedding. It was a very wet, cold, and windy day for keen surfers Katherine & Jim. The couple both love the coast and spend a lot of time in the water. This was one of the reasons why they wanted a venue close to the water. The wedding was held at Polhawn Fort on Torpoint in Cornwall. Polhawn Fort is an unusual location to hold a wedding. It was built, along with others, to ward off Napoleon from landing along Whitsand Bay.
The fort was lovely and warm inside and it certainly helped ward of the weather. Both Katherine & Jim got ready at the Fort which made it easy for some pre-wedding shots. The ceremony was really lovely and was held in front of their family & friends. After the ceremony we had a small window of opportunity to gather the whole wedding party outside for a group-shot, very brave! We also has time to get some lovely couple shots down on the shore. After the speeches and the wedding breakfast the couple chilled out with family & friends before cutting the cake and having the first dance. As always the party was just hotting up as it was time to leave. Had a great time capturing your wedding and it was great to meet you all. I hope you had a great honeymoon in Fuerteventura and managed to get plenty of waves.
