Orchardleigh House Wedding – Carrie & James
It was wonderful to be a Orchardleigh House wedding photographer for Carrie and James beautiful wedding that took place at this romantic venue in Somerset. The weather was lovely but a little breezy which resulted in some great captures.
Getting married at Orchardleigh House.
The 19th century stately house is nestled in 500 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes. It also boasts its own romantic church on an island. It is an absolutely perfect location to hold a wedding.
The bride and groom both got ready at either end of a long corridor which ensured they didn’t bump into each other while getting ready. The groom had a superhero theme for himself, best-man and ushers. It was great fun! It proved to be a day full of surprises when the groom rocked up with his best-man arrived at the church in the bat-mobile. Not to be out done the beautiful bride arrived in a horse and carriage. The couple along with their guest enjoyed nibbles and drinks on the lawn, although it was a little breezy. A little later we did a few group shots followed by some couple shots. The speeches at the wedding breakfast provided much entertainment and hilarity. A few too many drinks had been consumed I think! The whole day was fun and it was an absolute pleasure to capture the day.
As always it was great to capture the day as it unfolded. This gives a more authentic image and a true representation of the day. The day is all about capturing the fun and excitement of the bride and groom celebrating one of the most special days of their lives.
I hope to return again soon to this beautiful setting. Are you getting married at Orchardleigh House and looking for a Somerset wedding photographer? If so please do not hesitate to give me a shout.
