National Park Wedding in Devon - Special Day Wedding Photos

Had a wonderful time as wedding photographer for Laura & Jason’s wedding in Cornwall. Well actually the wedding ceremony took place in Devon at Lydford Church! Originally, they were going to be married at Sourton Church but this was before they knew the roof was going to be under scaffold on their special day. We did however return to the church or rather the foot of Dartmoor National Park for a few couple shots.

Laura & Jason were introduced to me by Jodie & Nathan who’s wedding I had captured a few years ago. So it was great to see them both again and a few other familiar faces.

I met up with Laura at her parents’ home in Cornwall to capture all getting ready. They were a little nervous, although Laura looked very calm and collected. The weather was lovely with lots of summer sun shining in through the windows. With the ceremony in Devon the celebrations were happening at Laura’s parents in the garden! In a big Marquee! It looked great! Actually, it looked fantastic. All involved had gone to a lot of effort to make Laura & Jason’s day very special. Laura & Jason make a lovely couple and it was great to meet up with them again.

Devon Rustic Wedding

Laura arrived in style in a vintage Volkswagen campervan with her bridesmaids & father. Jason was ready and waiting! The ceremony was beautiful and afterwards we headed off for some couple shots before joining up with their guests back at the marquee. The guests were treated to afternoon tea with the toasts coming afterwards. The speeches were full of laughter and a very moving tribute to Jason from his brother and best-man. For the rest of the afternoon the wedding party chilled out with the guests and enjoyed the sunshine and a little later the pig-roast. A lovely day.
