Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa Wedding – Emily & Andrew
It was fantastic to be a Somerset wedding photographer for Emily & Andrew’s fun loving wedding. We met up earlier in the year for a pre-shoot at Dunster Castle and it was lovely to see them again. The weather was great with lots of long sunny intervals. Please check out the pre-shoot by following: Dunster Castle Wedding Photographer
I started off as always by meeting up with the lovely and very happy bride as she got ready with her bridesmaids in her parents home, which also happened to be bang next door to the church. In fact Emily’s folks live in the vicarage! There was plenty of excitement and bubbly drank as they all got ready and it was great to see dad get called upon when the girls were having a difficulty in tying the dress. Once ready Dad led Emily over to the church and the awaiting Andrew, who looked pretty relaxed although I think he may have been very nervous.
The church was jammed with not a space left. The ceremony had its emotions, especially when Andrew’s mum was giving a reading. Once the ceremony had taken place the couple burst out of the church in the beautiful weather followed by their guests. The guests all lined up for the confetti and the couple dashed through. It was a good laugh! The guests and photographer were loaded up onto the vintage bus and headed off to Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa for the celebrations. It was a bit of a hairy journey from my perspective, I was in standing room only, so I was trying to keep my balance and take a few shots as well. That’s what I like about my job, it’s so varied and full of unexpected fun!
Once at the venue and after the wedding breakfast the wedding gang chilled out in the drawing room until the Jazz band and games were ready. It was a lot of fun, competitive and hilarious to capture. The blindfold game was really funny, although I’m sure I saw a little cheating going on! Oops, controversial! Swiftly moving on, the first dance came round all too soon and it was time for me to go. So enough of my waffle please enjoy a few pictures by scrolling down or by watching the extended slideshow.
Thanks for making me feel so welcome, the food was lovely and very much appreciated.
Talk to you soon.
Anthony.
“Anthony was really great to work with. The pre-shoot was so useful as we were both camera shy and we got some beautiful photos to use on our wedding website. On the day he worked so hard and didn’t miss a single moment of our day. So many guests commented on how energetic he was yet practically invisible! Each photo is beautiful and choosing which ones to print out and hang on the wall is almost impossible! We’re going to make a photo washing line so we can have loads on display.
Thank you so much”. Emily & Andrew.
