Hestercombe Wedding – Jo & Matt
It was really exciting to Hestercombe Gardens and looking forward to sharing Jo & Matt’s wedding at this beautiful venue in Taunton, Somerset. With fifty acres Hestercombe Estate boasts beautiful formal gardens and extensive grounds to walk. As a wedding photographer Hestercombe Gardens is a great location as you are spoilt for choice. The possibilities are endless. The buildings are also very beautiful including the Orangery, flooded by natural light and situated next to the walled formal garden. Jo & Matt opted for their wedding ceremony to take place in the Orangery, a perfect location. I had met up with Jo & Matt earlier in the year on a very hot day for a pre-shoot in a local woodland in Taunton. Not one to show off but one of the images from the shoot won a Diamond Award from The Wedding Photojournalist Association. Wedding at Hestercombe Gardens
As a wedding photographer the weather on the day is an important factor in how the day is be approached. I did not need to worry, as the weather was absolutely glorious and was perfect for an English wedding. The ceremony was also extra special for the couple as Matt’s mum is a registrar and she conducted the ceremonial proceedings. It was lovely, such a special thing to be able to do. The flower-girls looked so cute, and a little cheeky as they walked to the ceremony. Jo, looking very beautiful, was walked down the aisle by her very proud father. The ceremony was lovely with lots of emotion, especially from Matt. After the ceremony the couple and their guests chilled out in front of the Orangery for drinks & nibbles. For the couple shots we headed up to the waterfall, which was activated especially for the couple. How cool is that! Afterwards we headed into the beautiful formal gardens. The couple were naturals in front of the camera and made it very easy to capture some lovely moments. By the time we had finished the guests were already seated in Bampfylde Hall and awaiting the newlyweds and food. Once the wedding breakfast and speeches had been completed the couple were about ready for the first dance.
Well I really enjoyed being wedding photographer for Jo and Matt’s Hestercombe wedding. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and the food was lovely and very much appreciated. Well, enough of my waffle please scroll down and check out the images. Enjoy!
Talk to you soon.
Cheers
Anthony.
