Escot House Wedding in Devon – Lorna & Owen
It was fantastic to visit Escot House in East Devon for Lorna & Owen’s beautiful wedding celebrations. I am very lucky as a Devon wedding photographer to visit many beautiful stately homes in around the county of Devon and Somerset. There are so many wedding venues in Devon that it must be a daunting task for any couple. Escot House Devon
On the wedding day we met up with Lorna at her parents home in Honiton for some getting ready shots before moving on to the lovely St Paul’s church in Honiton’s town centre. The church was packed with family & friends who had come from far and wide to celebrate their wedding. The windy weather was a little against us on the day and all the ladies had to hold on to their hats but it enabled me to get some great shots too. As we left the church there was a noisy surprise for the newly weds from the town crier to announce the marriage to the residents of Honiton in Devon, a surprise organised by Lorna’s dad.
Escot Weddings
After the service we headed to Escot House for the rest of the celebrations. Escot House is a beautiful Georgian House situated in parkland, the drive in is really beautiful. Although it rained a little we still managed to get outside to do some group shots and later a few couple portraits. The wedding breakfast was held in the marquee attached to the side of the house with the guests packed in well. The first dance was lovely, Lorna & Owen had prepared well! Great to see all the guest get onto the dance-floor for a boogie.
