Engagement Wedding Photography at Knightshayes Estate in Devon – Alison & Andy

I am so lucky to visit, as a wedding photographer, so many different venues around Devon and the Southwest to capture weddings. Had I not chosen to become a wedding photographer I would not even be aware of those wonderful venues.  Here in the Southwest we also have some marvellous National Trust properties that just so happen to be on my doorstep. I know! I am lucky and yes Devon is fantastic!

I also take it for granted at times and forget that people, on the whole, are not used to having their photo taken. So it was great to meet up with Alison & Andy for an engagement shoot at National Trust properties Knightshayes Estate just outside Tiverton. It is one of my favourite properties to visit. The formal gardens are lovely at any time of the year and the walled garden is impressive. We walked in the formal gardens on the day stopping now and again for some shots, it was a relaxed affair, which was great! The pre-shoots are such a great idea to help couples relax in preparation for the main event, the wedding!

There are some lovely spots in the gardens where the light can be perfect. Its so nice to stop and appreciate and also take a few shots as well. The magnolia trees were in bloom and the skies were clear without a cloud in site. A real treat and hopefully a sign of things to come, although I do not want to speak to soon. Their wedding is only a few weeks away, just down the road at the Hartnoll Hotel. Really looking forward to the day.

Update: The wedding has now taken place! Please follow link to view the wedding: Wedding Photography at the Hartnoll Hote
