Croyde Wedding – Megan & Charlie
I love a good North Devon wedding! Megan and Charlie had been, like so many, effected by the pandemic. Their Croyde wedding had moved location and date, so it was great when their day finally arrived.
The couple were getting ready in Croyde and moving over to Ilfracombe for the ceremony. Great to see Neil from Mr Bojangles VW Hire, with his vintage camper van and moggy minor. Not sure how Charlie got to the church but Megan and the bridesmaids certainly arrived in style.
North Devon Wedding
By the time we left the church and was heading to Putsborough, my favourite place in North Devon, we had persistent rain. We had to sit in our cars for about 20 minutes until the rained eased. I don’t think it stopped. In that short amount of time, we were able to pop down to the beach and capture a few shots before we got too wet. By the time we arrived at the Marquee on Combas Farm the rain was back in full flow! It was a shame but that’s the way it goes sometimes. The guests just carried on having a great time regardless!
It was a lovely afternoon and the speeches were really heart warm, emotional and funny. I just love to capture this part of the wedding. When the rain finally eased the party was able to get outside and play a few games, we also did some group-shots. The first dance soon came around and the party really began.
What a great day and a wonderful bunch of people. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.
Cheers
Anthony
