Great to meet up with Alex & James for their Country Ways wedding in North Devon. Originally the couple were to be married in 2020 but the whole Covid thing happened! They were in fact the first couple to read the situation and postpone. I think they only needed to move their date twice but I could be wrong. Either way I was just pleased I was able to accommodate the couple. I actually captured Alex’s sister’s wedding a few years ago so it was great to see a few familiar faces. From the previous wedding with the family, I knew they were a bit of a laugh and looked forward to certain parts of the day, especially the speeches. As a Devon wedding photographer I love to capture this part of the day as there is so much emotion, mainly laughter on this occasion
North Devon Wedding
It’s always nice to capture a wedding at Country Ways. It’s a great location and if the weather is good, we get fantastic sunsets. Thankfully the weather gods were smiling at us on this day. After the wedding ceremony everyone relaxed outside and enjoyed the weather before heading down to the colourfully decorated marquee for the wedding breakfast.
As the day moved to evening, we were able to take full advantage of a beautiful evening sky and sunset. It really was spectacular! Alex & James had a friend’s band play for the evening. They were so good! You can always judge a good band by the dance-floor and it was packed out! This is great for me as I can get right in there with the camera.
Thanks for a wonderful day and for making me feel so welcome.
