Cadhay Wedding – John & Michelle
Devon Manor House Wedding
As a Devon wedding photographer I get to travel to some wonderful historic locations. John and Michelle’s wedding took place at Cadhay, an historic Elizabethan manor house in East Devon. Cadhay was a real treat and well worth a visit if you can.
I met up with Michelle & John a few months back for a pre-wedding shoot in Exeter. It was a real fun day walking the streets and checking out some of the well know sights.

It was great when their wedding day finally arrived. The day began with Michelle getting ready, before I headed down to meet up with John. A big Dungeons & Dragons fan, John had the Monster Manual book on hand! John was getting ready with his friend and best-girl. It was funny to see confusion reign when it was time to do up the grooms tie. Thankfully they had a Dummies Guide. The day was very warm with some sunny spells but mostly overcast, that did not cast a shadow on the day; the opposite was true. The couples ceremony took place on the lawn with the guests seated under a large tree.
After the ceremony the wedding party relaxed with drinks and nibbles in the court-yard and were even treated to a Red Arrows fly-past. The toasts went really well with much laughter and some tears. As the afternoon moved on the guests chilled out in the gardens.
The first dance soon came round and it was time for me to go after capturing some dancing. I had a lovely time capturing the day. Thank you for the food it was delicious and very much appreciated.
Talk to you soon.
Anthony.
