Devon Wedding at Buckland House
It was great to meet up with Helen & Chris recently and be their wedding photographer in North Devon. The couple had hired the impressive Buckland House for the weekend which accommodated the whole wedding party. This made capturing both bride & groom easier for myself and second photographer James.
We started off the day with Helen getting ready with her bridesmaids, not forgetting their well dressed dog. After spending some time with the girls we headed over to the guys to capture some shots with Chris, his best-man and children followed by the rest of the groomsmen. The ceremony was fast approaching so James was down in the ceremony room and in position. All the guests were seated and the groom was at the front waiting for the lovely bride. Helen was in no rush and the registrars were getting a little twitchy as the ceremony time approached and there was no sign of the bride. Never before had I seen a registrar sweat. It was fun to see!
North Devon Wedding
The ceremony went really well with lots of laughter and some tears. After the ceremony the bride & groom along with the rest of the wedding party chilled out on the lawn. We took this time to do some group-shots while a magician entertained the kids both big and small. It was soon time for the wedding breakfast; the speeches went really well with plenty of laughs. The afternoon moved on and the guests chilled out by playing football and lawn games at the front of the property.
Like all weddings the first dance is usually the last official element of the day before the party really gets going. The guests surrounded the dancefloor as the couple started to dance. It was really lovely and great to see the family and friends join in and the celebration really begin.
